Changing milk powder for newborns should be gradual

Method 1: First add 1/3 of new milk powder to the old milk powder. After eating this for two or three days without any discomfort, eat 1/2 of the old and 1/2 of the new milk powder for two or three days, then eat 1/3 of the old and 2/3 of the new for two or three days, and finally transition to completely replacing the old milk powder with the new milk powder. The whole process can take 1-2 weeks.

Method 2: On the first day of changing milk powder, eat the new milk powder at noon, and eat the original milk powder at other times. On the second day, eat the new milk powder for the two middle meals, and eat the original milk powder for other times. On the third day, eat the new milk powder for the three middle meals, and eat the original milk powder for other times, and so on, until all meals are switched to new milk powder.

After changing the milk powder, the baby may have some inadaptive symptoms, such as diarrhea, not liking to eat milk, vomiting, constipation, crying, allergies, etc. Among them, diarrhea is the most obvious, and allergies are manifested as itchy skin and rashes. Therefore, it is recommended that parents do not change the milk powder for their children frequently. If the child often drinks a certain milk powder, they should insist on giving it to the child, and do not change the milk powder frequently.
