How to determine your fertility

How to determine your fertility

Pregnancy is the most sacred and great mission given to women by God, but not every couple can successfully complete "marriage and childbirth". Couples who want to have children should plan better when their health and age are at their best. Before pregnancy, it is necessary to determine whether the fertility is strong, which is very necessary for choosing the method of preparing for pregnancy.

How to determine your fertility

Age: 24-29 years old for women and 25-35 years old for men. This period is the most vigorous stage for both men and women to have strong fertility. If you conceive at the best childbearing age, the quality of sperm and eggs will be better, planned conception will be more likely to succeed, and the chance of dystocia will be relatively small, which is conducive to improving the health quality of the next generation.

BMI value: that is, weight (kg) divided by height (m) squared. The normal range for women is about 18 to 25, which is also the most suitable ratio for pregnancy.

Contraceptive history: Early contraceptive pills were indeed overweight and could cause infertility after long-term use, but nowadays, low-dose contraceptive pills are used, so this is less likely to happen. However, unmarried women who have never been pregnant should be aware that if the intrauterine device is left in place for too long, it can easily cause pelvic infection, adhesion, or fallopian tube obstruction and adhesion, which may lead to difficulty in conceiving.

Menstrual cycle: Women with irregular menstrual cycles are less likely to conceive, especially those with oligomenorrhea and polycystic ovary syndrome. They usually have a long menstrual period, which means that they ovulate less often, so the chance of conception is naturally smaller. But people with short menstrual cycles are not necessarily better! Especially those with endometriosis, which means that the corpus luteum function is not sound, and even if they ovulate, they will still be infertile, or the chance of miscarriage will increase.

The normal menstrual cycle is 28 to 35 days, and the length of the cycle may vary from person to person. 7 to 10 days early or late can be considered within the normal range. As long as a certain regularity can be maintained, it cannot be considered as irregular menstruation. The last menstrual period refers to the menstrual period closest to the date of consultation, and should be calculated from the first day of bleeding. However, it should be noted that the last menstrual period refers to the duration and amount of this menstrual period that is the same as usual. Do not mistake abnormal vaginal bleeding for menstruation. This type of bleeding is generally less than menstruation, and the duration may be shorter or longer, or the regularity of normal menstruation may be lost.

Sexual experience: Sexual experience does not have such a big impact on girls, but if a man has sexual intercourse too frequently, it is also difficult for him to conceive.

Health status: Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, the better your health is, the more suitable it is for conception, because with enough physical strength and energy, coupled with adequate nutrition, the fetus can thrive healthily. If a woman has chronic diseases or cancer, autoimmune diseases, liver disease, brain disease, or kidney disease, it is less likely to conceive, because when the health is poor, reproductive hormones are also prone to disorder, and even people with family diseases, such as chromosomal abnormalities, can also cause problems with ovulation. Especially in the current poor social environment, long-term exposure to electromagnetic waves, X-rays or radiation can easily cause fetal abnormalities and miscarriage, so pregnant women should stay away from such items.

Male fertility requires the following conditions

1. Have normal semen output channel;

2. Possess balanced and coordinated hypothalamic releasing hormone, pituitary gonadotropin and testosterone;

3. Possess a complete system of hypothalamus, pituitary gland, testicles and accessory glands;

4. The reproductive system has normal blood flow and nerve innervation, and can carry out sexual intercourse. Any abnormality in these conditions can lead to male infertility.

What lifestyle habits can affect male fertility?

First, malnutrition and partiality: Sperm production requires raw materials, so sperm production is closely related to nutrition level. This does not necessarily mean eating soft-shelled turtles and eels. However, eating more lean meat, eggs, fish, and vegetables to ensure the supply of necessary proteins, vitamins, and trace elements is essential. People with partiality are often prone to certain nutritional deficiencies.

Second, mental depression and excessive fatigue: depression and fatigue can affect sexual function and spermatogenesis.

Third, excessive riding of bicycles, motorcycles, tricycles and horses, etc.: This often causes chronic strain and congestion of the prostate and other accessory glands, affecting their function, aggravating chronic inflammation, and affecting fertility.

Fourth, frequent hot water baths: The testicles need an environment 1℃~1.5℃ lower than the normal body temperature of 37℃ to produce sperm. Data show that soaking in warm water at 43℃~44℃ for 20 minutes for 3 consecutive days can reduce the sperm density of people with normal sperm density to less than 10 million/ml, and this situation can last for 3 weeks. The "warm contraception method" studied in recent years is based on this principle. Therefore, frequent and long hot water baths are not suitable for infertile patients with low sperm count and low motility. Of course, it doesn't matter if you take a hot water bath 1~2 times a week for a short time.

Does menstruation mean fertility?

1. Normal menstruation only means that the endocrine function of your ovaries and uterus is good. But it does not mean that the structure of your female internal reproductive organs is also good. You also need to ensure that your fallopian tubes are unobstructed, etc.

2. There are many reasons for infertility, such as whether the husband has normal fertility. Women also have many factors. Menstruation cannot be used as a criterion for judgment. It must be combined with other fertility indicators.
