1. The amount of milk to be fed to babies in the first few days after birth: The amount of milk to be fed to babies can be calculated based on the baby's weight per kilogram, and 100 to 200 milliliters can be given every day. If the baby weighs 3 kilograms, 3 × 100 (120) milliliters of milk = 300 (360) milliliters of milk are needed. The total amount after adding water is divided by the number of meals to get the amount of milk used per meal. If two parts of milk are mixed with one part of water, it is 300 (360) milliliters of milk + 150 (160) milliliters of water, with a total amount of 450 to 480 milliliters, which can be taken in 7 to 8 times, with 60 to 70 milliliters per meal.

Feed 6 to 7 times a day, with an interval of 3.5 to 4 hours between each feeding. Each feeding should be about 80 to 120 ml. The maximum amount of milk to be fed is 150 ml.

Babies will cry when they feel uncomfortable, hungry, thirsty, wet diapers, too cold or too hot, in pain, sick, etc. You should not feed them as soon as they cry. If the baby cries because of hunger, the mother will have a foraging reaction when she touches the baby's cheek or lips with her hand. The baby will fall asleep quietly after eating. If the baby still cries and is restless after feeding, or has other abnormal behaviors, you should think about whether the baby is sick and go to the hospital for treatment if necessary.
