Social and Emotional Development:

1. Smile spontaneously, especially when facing people;

Language Development:

Recommended complementary foods for 4-month-olds

4-6 months is the stage when babies first start to eat complementary foods. It is best to start with light-tasting foods. The type and hardness of the food should be changed according to the baby's development. Rice soup, which is not likely to cause allergies in babies, is a more suitable first staple complementary food for babies to try.

1. Fresh millet paste ingredients: 15 grams of rice. Method: Wash the rice and soak it in warm water for 2 hours. It is beneficial to the development and health of the human body, and can stimulate the secretion of gastric juice, help digestion, and promote the absorption of fat. It can also cause the casein in the milk powder to form loose and soft small clots, making it easy to digest and absorb.

2. Millet porridge ingredients: millet, water, ratio (1:10). Method: Soak the millet for 30 minutes, put it into the pot and cook it. After boiling, simmer for 40 minutes on low heat, then turn off the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Nutrition tips: Millet porridge is rich in nutrients and rich in vitamins and minerals, such as carotene, vitamin B1, B2, etc. The protein content is 8.9%, and the fat content is 3.0%, which is 1%-3% higher than ordinary rice. Be careful not to make the millet porridge too thin.
