Pregnancy Tips What are the symptoms of implantation bleeding

There are many signs of pregnancy, and implantation bleeding is one of them. Pregnant women may find that they have spotting and cramping. As long as your bleeding is not constant, there is no need to worry. Unless your bleeding is heavy, bright red, has blood clots, or you are seriously uncomfortable.

Implantation bleeding during conception

The uterus forms tissue: During your cycle, the uterus forms a lining of tissue and blood that creates a nurturing environment for a fertilized egg to attach to. When you ovulate, the egg travels through the fallopian tube into the uterus and, if it is not fertilized, it is expelled along with the lining during menstruation.
The egg implants in the endometrium: When the egg is fertilized, it burrows and attaches to the endometrium. When the egg attaches, part of the endometrium is sloughed off as the egg implants, resulting in the loss of a small amount of tissue and blood.
Implantation bleeding color: Usually the blood you see may be light pink or dark brown. These colors represent old blood because it takes some time to be discharged from the body. Some people will also have brown blood clots.
Implantation bleeding time: Implantation bleeding usually starts 6 to 12 days after fertilization, and the length of bleeding varies from person to person. Because it is just spotting, you may only notice its end, which may be a few hours, or just a spot.
If the bleeding lasts too long: Remember that spotting is different for everyone, and you may be pregnant after 2 days of bleeding. However, if the spotting lasts for more than 1-2 days, it may mean there is a problem, such as an ectopic pregnancy, and you need to pay special attention.

Possible symptoms of implantation bleeding

Mild discharge: If implantation bleeding occurs, it is usually very mild, and some women only have spotting. Therefore, some women mistake it for menstrual blood spots. The discharge is usually light pink or brown and very sparse.
Implantation cramps occur: Implantation bleeding is sometimes accompanied by mild to moderate cramping when the egg attaches to the uterine wall. This is very common. The severity of each person is different, and some women will mistake it for the feeling before menstruation.
Acknowledge your symptoms: If you think you have implantation bleeding, wait at least a day before taking a pregnancy test. This is because implantation bleeding can happen so early in your cycle that you may not have enough progesterone for your test to be positive.
When to worry Pregnant women should be concerned when bleeding is heavy, bright red, contains blood clots, or is accompanied by severe cramping or discomfort. If bleeding is persistent, you should contact your doctor as soon as possible.
Don't worry: Early pregnancy bleeding only occurs in 20-30% of women. If you think you are pregnant and are experiencing light bleeding or spotting, relax; this is a normal sign of pregnancy.
