How long is the appropriate time for a newborn to feed breast milk?

The baby is not long old, and the mother has to pay attention to breastfeeding, such as the frequency and amount of feeding, which need to be strictly controlled. So how long is it appropriate for a newborn to feed breast milk at a time?

From birth to 1 month

Breastfeed newborns 1 to 3 days old, feeding on demand or every 4 hours or so, each feeding lasting 10 to 15 minutes;
Newborns aged 4 to 14 days should be fed every 4 hours, with each feeding lasting 15 to 20 minutes and 30 to 90 ml per feeding.
Newborns between 15 and 30 days old should be fed every 3 hours for 15 to 20 minutes each time.
Feeding time can be arranged at 6, 9, 12 in the morning; 3, 6, 9 in the afternoon and 12 at night, 3 in the second half of the night, each feeding is 70 to 100 ml. During the day, warm water or light sugar water can be fed once between two feedings, each time 25 ml.
From the 15th day after birth, take concentrated cod liver oil drops once a day, 1 drop each time. If the milk supply is sufficient, water can be omitted.

1 month to 2 months

When breast milk is sufficient, feed the baby every 3 hours, 7 times a day, at 6:00 a.m., 9:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 12:00 a.m. Feed 70 to 150 ml each time. Feed 45 ml of warm water or 35 ml of fresh orange juice between feedings. Water and orange juice can be fed alternately.
If the baby is restless when sleeping, cries when hungry, and does not gain 150 to 200 grams in weight within 5 days after 1 month, it means that breast milk is insufficient and milk needs to be added. Generally, an additional milk feeding should be given between 4 and 6 pm, or the breast milk feeding at 9 pm should be changed to milk feeding.
In this way, the breast milk is sufficient at 12 o'clock at night, and the child can go to sleep after eating. Take concentrated cod liver oil twice a day, 1 drop each time.

2 to 3 months

During this period, the feeding time can be slightly extended, feeding every 3.5 hours, 6 times a day: 6 am, 9:30 am, 1 pm, 4:30 pm, 8 pm, 11 pm. Each feeding is 75 to 100 ml.
During the day, add fresh tomato juice or orange juice between two feedings, and alternate with light salt water and warm water. Take concentrated cod liver oil twice a day, 1 drop each time. If breast milk is insufficient, add milk, that is, change breast milk to 150 ml of milk at 8 pm.
If the baby's weight gain is less than 20 grams per day, breast milk should be changed to milk at 6 a.m. If the weight gain is only 100 grams after 5 days, breast milk should be changed to milk feeding at 11:30 a.m.
After adding milk, the baby's stool frequency increases and the color becomes white. If the milk is boiled and sterilized well, frequent stool is not a disease.
