And according to regulations, medical insurance cards are for individuals and can only be used by the individual. Therefore, regular hospitals generally do not allow this. The relationship between maternity insurance and male employees

The maternity insurance fund will pay the following expenses for the insured: maternity allowance, nursing leave allowance, maternity medical expenses, family planning surgery medical expenses, and other expenses stipulated by the state and the province and city. Among them, the maternity allowance is not only available to female employees, but also to the spouses of male employees who give birth (in accordance with the family planning policy of late childbearing and receive the "Honorary Certificate for Parents of Only Children"), and can also enjoy 10 days of nursing leave allowance.

According to estimates, after the implementation of the Measures, female employees can receive an allowance of more than 5,000 yuan per childbirth, and male employees can receive an allowance of more than 400 yuan. Male employees who participate in maternity insurance and have paid maternity insurance premiums for 12 consecutive months, and whose spouses are non-urban residents who have not participated in maternity insurance, unemployed persons in urban areas, or have participated in maternity insurance but have paid for less than 12 months (excluding supplementary payments), can enjoy a one-time maternity medical expense subsidy of 50% of the female employee's maternity medical expenses in accordance with Article 8 of the Measures.

The subsidy standards are as follows:

1. 1,500 yuan for cesarean section or cesarean section abortion after 7 months of pregnancy;

2. RMB 1,000 for childbirth or miscarriage after 7 months of pregnancy;

3. RMB 500 for birth or miscarriage within 3 months but less than 7 months of pregnancy;

4. RMB 150 for abortion within 3 months of pregnancy;

5. For multiple births, an additional 200 yuan will be charged for each additional baby.

No, maternity insurance is a one-time reimbursement after the birth, and the reimbursement amount is almost the same as the hospitalization fee. If you use your medical insurance to pay, then you cannot claim it in maternity insurance.

Maternity insurance reimbursement standards

1. The maternity insurance fund compensates the employer in the form of maternity allowance. The compensation standard is as follows: female employees who give birth naturally for more than 7 months (including 7 months) of pregnancy or give birth prematurely before 7 months of pregnancy are entitled to 3 months of maternity allowance; those who have a difficult delivery or undergo a cesarean section are entitled to an additional half-month of maternity allowance; those who give birth to multiple babies are entitled to an additional half-month of maternity allowance for each additional baby; those who have a miscarriage or induced labor for more than 3 months (including 3 months) and less than 7 months of pregnancy are entitled to a maternity allowance of 1.5 months; those who have a miscarriage due to pathological reasons within 3 months of pregnancy are entitled to a maternity allowance of 1 month. The maternity allowance is calculated based on the average monthly maternity insurance payment salary of the female employee in the 12 months before giving birth or family planning surgery.

2. Maternity nutrition subsidy and perinatal health subsidy. Female employees who give birth and are eligible for maternity leave of 90 days (inclusive) or more as required by the state can enjoy a maternity nutrition subsidy of 300 yuan and a perinatal health subsidy of 700 yuan.

3. One-time maternity subsidy. Female employees who were formerly covered by maternity insurance in their workplace and become unemployed can enjoy a one-time maternity subsidy if they give birth in accordance with family planning regulations while receiving unemployment insurance benefits: 400 yuan for miscarriage, 2,400 yuan for normal delivery, 4,000 yuan for difficult delivery and multiple births. Male employees who participate in maternity insurance, whose spouses are not covered by the maternity insurance, can enjoy a one-time maternity subsidy of 50% when they give birth to their first child in accordance with family planning regulations.

4. Maternity allowance will be compensated to the unit, and the basic salary, bonus and welfare benefits of the insured female employee will be paid by the unit during the maternity leave.

5. Family planning surgery expenses, including the expenses incurred for the placement (removal) of intrauterine contraceptive devices, abortions, inductions of labor, implants, sterilizations and recanalization surgeries due to family planning needs, are included in the payment scope of the maternity insurance fund.
