Pay attention to the correct steps of bathing newborns

[The baby smells so good! Pay attention to the steps of bathing] For parents, bathing is to wash away the dirt on the body. For babies, the bathtub is their private water park, and bath time is also a happy moment to get close to their parents.

Newborn baby bath steps

Step 1: Preparation before washing:

Prepare all the supplies for your baby's bath, including bath towels, clean diapers, and baby's clothes.

The second step is to pay attention to the temperature:

Fill the bathtub with warm water at about 36-38 degrees Celsius.

The third step is to help your baby undress:

Carry your baby to the bathing area and take off all his clothes. (Friendly reminder: If your baby cries every time he takes a bath, don't take off his diaper at the beginning of the bath, which can increase his sense of security in the water.

The fourth step is to let the baby adapt to the water temperature:

Starting from the baby's little feet, slowly slide the baby into the basin, support his neck and head with one hand, and then scoop water over him regularly to prevent the baby from feeling cold.

Step 5: From head to toe, inside and outside:

Press the baby-specific bath essence into the water, stir to create bubbles, and use the bubbles to clean the baby from head to toe. Please use baby-specific bath essence. Incorrect products will dry out the baby's skin or irritate the baby's skin and cause sensitivity. You can use a wet cotton ball to clean his eyes and face. As for the baby's little butt and penis, you should also clean them regularly. If there is dry mucus in the baby's nostrils or corners of the eyes, pat it a few times with a small piece of wet cotton and wipe it off after it softens.

Step 6: Dry your baby's body:

Scoop some water to rinse the baby, and then wipe the baby's body with a clean towel. Some products (such as Johnson's baby shampoo and body wash) do not need to be rinsed with clean water, and can be directly wiped dry. Then use one hand to support the baby's neck and head, and the other hand to support his little butt, and hold one of the thighs with your fingers to prevent your hand from slipping, and then carry the baby out of the tub.

Step 7: Apply special lotion:

Wrap your baby in a swaddle and pat him dry gently, because the baby's skin loses moisture quickly. After taking a bath, you can apply mild baby lotion on him and then help him put on diapers and clothes, and kiss his fragrant head.
