3) Use a clean towel to clean all parts of the baby's testicles, including the underside of the penis, where there are urine or feces stains. If necessary, you can gently hold his penis with your fingers, but be careful not to pull the penis skin.

4) Clean the baby's penis, wiping away from his body: do not push the foreskin up to clean under the foreskin, just clean the penis itself. There is no need to deliberately clean the foreskin before the baby is six months old, because the foreskin of a boy will not grow completely together with the penis until he is about 4 years old. Turning the tender foreskin too early will hurt the baby's genitals.

5) Lift the baby's legs and clean his anus and buttocks. Place a finger between his ankles and clean the back of his thighs. Remove the diaper immediately after cleaning.

6) Wipe your own hands, then dry the diaper area with a paper towel. If your baby has a red bottom, let him kick his feet bare bottom for a while, and prepare some paper towels for your baby to use when he pees.

7) Apply anti-rash cream on the area above the penis (not on the penis), near the testicles, anus, and buttocks.

How to clean baby girl's butt

Mothers with baby girls should note that it is generally not recommended to use talcum powder after washing the baby's butt, because the talc in the talcum powder will enter the ovaries. Because the female pelvic cavity is connected to the outside world, the dust and particles in the external environment can enter the abdominal cavity through the vulva, vagina, cervix, uterine cavity, and open fallopian tubes, causing lesions.

1) Wipe off the feces with a tissue, then soak cotton with warm water or cleanser, and wipe all over her belly, up to the navel. Be careful not to catch the baby cold when wiping.

2) Use a piece of clean cotton to clean all the skin folds at the base of her thighs, from top to bottom and from inside to outside.

3) Lift her legs and place one of your fingers between her ankles. Next, clean her vulva, making sure to scrub from front to back to prevent bacteria from the anus from entering the vagina. Do not clean the inside of the vagina.

4) Use clean cotton to clean her anus, then her buttocks and thighs, and wash inward to the anus. After washing, take away the diaper, seal it with tape in front, and throw it into the trash can.

5) Dry her diaper area with a paper towel, then let her bare bottom and play for a while, exposing her bottom to the air.

6) Apply anti-rash cream around the vulva, anus, buttocks, etc.

Cleaning baby's buttocks after defecation

The newborn baby's buttocks should be washed with warm water after each bowel movement, and the room temperature should be kept between 24℃ and 28℃; the water temperature should be between 35℃ and 38℃.

Cleaning is divided into 3 steps:

a. First take off the baby's old diaper and leave it under the buttocks; then use a soft wet wipe to wipe off the baby's feces;

b. Use the first basin of warm water to clean the remaining dirt;

c. Change to the second basin of warm water and wash the buttocks by showering. You can pick up the newborn baby and shower with the basin of water. The order is: the penis (external genitalia) of a male baby or the perineum of a female baby → one buttock → the other buttock → anus. After washing, dry it with a dry towel and wait for a while. At this time, the operator can wash and dry his hands and prepare for the next step.

Baby buttocks care can be divided into two situations:

If there is no red bottom, you can apply a little powder. The operator first pours the powder into the palm of your hand, and then applies it on the baby's groin, buttocks, etc., which can protect the baby's eyes.

If diaper rash has occurred, you can apply diaper rash cream locally, such as 5% tannic acid ointment. Squeeze a little ointment on a cotton swab and apply it to the diaper rash of the newborn baby in a rolling manner, covering the area beyond the diaper rash. Keep the baby's buttocks dry at all times. After care, change the baby's diaper into a clean one and take away the dirty one.

8 steps to wash your butt

3. The mother should first make foam with the baby soap on her hands.
